If you’re mad about cars or feel like a having a fun day out this weekend, look no further than the Annual Irish Classic and Vintage Motor Show! This unique event, which is sponsored by AXA and organised by the Irish Jaguar and Daimler Club, takes place this Sunday 3rd July from 11am to 6pm at Terenure College grounds, Dublin.
The exciting line up has something for everyone:
A range of some of the rarest, most desirable vintage cars ever built will be on display, including a Desoto K Tourer, a 1965 Aston Martin DB 5 and a 1982 VW Scirocco to name just a few.
- Other vehicles on show will include: pedal cycles, scooters, motor cycles, three wheelers, custom-cars, kit cars, classic automobiles, fire engines, commercial vehicles, American limousines and military vehicles
- One of the biggest draws is sure to be a Jaguar Concept XK180 car which was manufactured in 1998 and debuted at the Paris Motor show only two were ever made, each with an estimated cost of a million pounds, making this one of the most unobtainable cars in the world!
- Another car sure to draw the crowds is the 2006 Ford GT
- The RSA Rollover Audi A4 will enable you to strap yourself in and experience the vehicle doing a full 360 degree turn, simulating a car crash
- Lots of fun for children – face painting, balloon modelling, bouncy castle and slide, and Minnie and Mickey Mouse
- A wide range of auto goodies, trade stands, and food and drink
The show’s special guests – the Lord Mayor of Dublin, jazz legend Paddy Cole and Senator David Norris – will arrive at the show at 1.15pm in a cavalcade of vintage cars, escorted by thirty Harley Davidsons.
Best of all, all of the proceeds from the show will go to The Children’s Sunshine Home (Laura Lynn House) and St Francis Hospice in Raheny, so while you’re having fun you’ll also be supporting a really good cause. Admission is €10 for adults, €5 for seniors and children, and €20 for families, with Free Car Parking within the grounds.
