Aretha Franklin cancels wedding plans


Browsing for wedding insurance policies may have been postponed by Aretha Franklin following the announcement she has put her nuptials on hold.

The singer revealed earlier this month that she and long-time friend Willie Wilkerson were engaged.

However, a newly-released statement has explained the summer ceremony Franklin spoke of is now unlikely to happen.

“Will and I have decided we were moving a little too fast and there were a number of things that had not been thought through thoroughly.
